Augmented Reality sounds like a scary prospect for teachers, but this technology can help you to breathe life back into your classroom.
What is it?
Augmented reality layers computer-generated enhancements on top of an existing reality to make it more meaningful through the ability to interact with it.
How can I use it in class?
There are countless ways to use AR in the classroom, and often the technology you need already exists in the school. Virtual tours, book reviews, interactive photo walls and timelines are just a few of the ways that augmented reality can enhance how your students learn, and they can also get involved by creating their own interactive content.
What will I learn at the workshop?
The workshop will introduce you to the concept of AR and how it works. You will also have the opportunity to create content and explore the apps and resources available.
The workshop is available onsite, either as a half day or twilight session for your staff. The workshop can also be combined with our Green-screen workshop to create a full day-long training opportunity.
Each attendee must have their own iPad.
