My Digital Footprint
Teaching Children to Practise Critical Thinking in Relation to Data Shared Online
This workshop is designed to build on the central principles covered in the Fundamentals of Online Safety workshop but offers a more in-depth focus on the topic of Digital Footprint and the trail of data we leave behind online. This workshop represents the beginning of the students learning on the topic of Digital Ethics.

- What a Cookie is in the online space
- What an IP Address is
- The importance of Privacy Settings and how to turn them on
- The importance of Location Settings and how to turn them off
- How to control their Digital Footprint
- The potential dangers of a large Digital Footprint
- How to create a positive Digital Footprint
How is this workshop delivered?
This 1-hour workshop is delivered in class by our trained facilitators. It is delivered as part of a two-hour workshop package whereby schools can pick a minimum of two topics from the following list or run the same workshop to a minimum of two class groups:
- Fundamentals of Online Safety
- My Digital Footprint
- Stranger Danger
- Cyberbullying
- Safe Social Networking
The learning materials include a presentation, interactive worksheets and other materials.
