Parent & Child Internet Safety Workshop
Parent & Child Internet Safety Workshop
Learning Together, Staying Safe Together
Talking about online safety at home isn’t always easy. Children may feel that parents don’t understand their online world, while parents can sometimes struggle to know what to ask, what boundaries to set or how to respond when something goes wrong.
Our Parent & Child Internet Safety Workshop brings families together to explore the digital world in an open, practical and engaging way.
Through interactive activities, discussion and shared scenarios, parents and children learn alongside one another, helping to break down barriers, encourage honest conversations and create a shared understanding of what safe and positive technology use looks like at home.
The aim isn’t to tell families how they should use technology, but to give them the knowledge and confidence to make decisions together.

What the Workshop Covers
Exploring Online Life as a Family
Parents and children explore the apps, games and online spaces young people use, creating opportunities to discuss both the positive experiences and potential challenges of being online.
Creating Shared Expectations & Boundaries
Families consider their own approach to devices, gaming, social media and screen time, helping them develop realistic expectations and boundaries that everyone understands.
Understanding Online Risks & Opportunities
Together, families explore current online issues while also recognising the many positive opportunities technology provides for learning, creativity, communication and connection.
Building Confidence to Talk
Interactive discussions help parents and children become more comfortable talking about online experiences, including situations that may feel embarrassing, upsetting or difficult to discuss.
Encouraging Safe & Responsible Technology Use
Families explore practical ways to protect privacy, make safer choices, communicate respectfully and take greater responsibility for their behaviour online.
Strengthening Family Communication
