Gaming and the Link to Gambling Workshop

Understanding Healthy Gaming Habits

Gaming is one of the most popular forms of entertainment for young people, offering opportunities to socialise, compete, learn new skills and have fun. While gaming has many positive benefits, it’s important to recognise when gaming habits become unhealthy and understand how some games are designed to encourage players to keep playing or spending money.

Our Gaming and the Link to Gambling Workshop helps students develop a balanced approach to gaming by exploring healthy habits, recognising the signs of excessive gaming and understanding features such as loot boxes, in-game purchases and reward systems.

Through interactive discussion and real-world examples, students gain the knowledge and confidence to make informed choices about their gaming habits while recognising when they or someone else may need support.
