Empowering Students to Create, Communicate and Connect Safely on Social Media Platforms
This workshop is designed to build on the principles covered in the Fundamentals of Online Safety workshop but this workshop addresses the topic of Safe Social Networking. This workshop represents the beginning of the students learning on the topic of Digital Well-Being.

- What apps and sites involve social networking
- How social networking sites work
- How social networking contributes to our Digital Footprint
- How to stay safe on social networks
- How to use safety and privacy features on popular social networking sites such as YouTube, Twitch, TikTok and Instagram
- How to behave on social networks
- How to monitor and manage time spent on social networks
How is this workshop delivered?
This 1-hour workshop is delivered in class by our trained facilitators. It is delivered as part of a two-hour workshop package whereby schools can pick a minimum of two topics from the following list or run the same workshop to a minimum of two class groups:
- Fundamentals of Online Safety
- My Digital Footprint
- Stranger Danger
- Cyberbullying
- Safe Social Networking
The learning materials include a presentation, interactive worksheets and other materials.
