This workshop is designed to build on the central principles covered in the Fundamentals of Online Safety workshop but explores the topic of Stranger Danger in more depth.

Upon completion of this workshop’s students will know:

  • What ‘feeling safe’ means
  • What is meant by a ‘Stranger’
  • What is meant by ‘Safe Stranger’
  • The dangers of online communication with strangers
  • How to protect themselves from contact from Strangers online
  • How to recognise an Avatar Vs Real person
  • What to do if someone is making them scared, confused or upset while online

How is this workshop delivered?

This 1-hour workshop is delivered in class by our trained facilitators.  It is delivered as part of a two-hour workshop package whereby schools can pick a minimum of two topics from the following list or run the same workshop to a minimum of two class groups:

  • Fundamentals of Online Safety
  • My Digital Footprint
  • Stranger Danger
  • Cyberbullying
  • Safe Social Networking

The learning materials include a presentation, interactive worksheets and other materials.
