Training the trainer – empowering Teachers to confidently guide students through the Digital Space

 

This topic is designed to assist teachers in promoting the concept of Digital Wellbeing amongst their class group.   Teachers will gain the knowledge they need to speak confidently to students about Digital Wellbeing and to coach their students in developing digital resilience.  Our Trainers will coach the teaching group in how to have open dialogue, with their students, on the concepts of respectful communication, excessive screen-time, negative online influences and digital detox.

  • Recognise the signs of poor Digital Well-Being
  • Know how to encourage Respectful Communication
  • Know how to teach students to manage Screen Time and Digital Distractions
  • Understand the impact of negative online content on student’s mental health
  • Know how to critically assess content and identify fake content online
  • Discover a range of tools to protect their online wellbeing
  • Know where to find further resources to enhance their online wellbeing

How is this workshop delivered?

This is a 1.5-hour workshop that can be delivered in-person or on-line.  This workshop can be delivered in the evening or during school hours. Learning is achieved through presentation of materials, interactive exercises and multi-media content.
