CompTIA Tech+ is an entry level certification designed for people who want to build confidence in technology and explore a future career in the digital sector. Ideal for beginners with no previous experience required, the course introduces the fundamentals of IT, cybersecurity, digital systems, networking and problem solving in a practical and easy to understand way.
Learners develop real world digital skills that can be applied immediately while gaining insight into career pathways across technology and cybersecurity.
Tech+ also provides a progression route to CompTIA A+, an industry recognised certification that can open opportunities in roles such as IT Support, Helpdesk and Technical Support.

How Much Will The Programme Cost?
This programme is fully funded through the Skills to Advance initiative, delivered by AMTCE in partnership with Louth and Meath Education and Training Board (LMETB). Eligible participants can complete the programme at no cost, subject to meeting the funding criteria
How Is The Course Delivered?
The course is delivered through a blended training model, combining tutor led online evening classes with practical, in person training at AMTCE Dundalk. Online classes take place on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6.00pm to 9.00pm.
Learners will also attend 2 inperson training evenings at AMTCE Dundalk. These sessions provide practical hands on training in a Cyber Security Operations Centre (SOC), including planned practical activities.
